RIBA National Award Winners 2018
The RIBA National Awards are given to buildings across the UK that have been recognised as significant contributions to architecture. These awards provide an insight into the UK’s cultural, design and construction trends.
Key trends illustrated by this years RIBA National Award winners include:
- Buildings with dual or multiple functions to benefit local communities
- Use of building materials which are sensitive to the local context
- High quality housing schemes – illustrating the benefits of local authority-led regeneration
- Reuse and regeneration – particularly in the commercial sector where there is a strong demand for contemporary offices in characterful existing buildings
We are very proud to have supplied three of the national award winning projects; Storey's Field Community Centre and Nursery, Royal Albert Wharf and King's Crescent.
Six of the 49 National Award winners will go on to be shortlisted for the prestigious RIBA Stirling Prize that will be presented later this year.
