Industry Update
- The UK Government has published its Timber in Construction Roadmap for 2025 with the aim to 'increase the production and use of sustainable timber'. As a renewable and low-carbon resource, timber has the potential to impact some of the UK's greatest challenges, including helping to address the housing shortage, create jobs and reduce emissions.
- Speaking at a White House news conference, US President Donald Trump has announced that the suspended tariffs on imported Canadian and Mexican lumber will go ahead. The President said: 'The tariffs are going forward on time, on schedule.'
- According to a TDUK report, the Conifer Breeding Cooperative and Forest Research UK is developing a UK-specific variety of Douglas Fir. The aim is to improve UK timber production and tree resilience, providing genetically improved seeds.
Company Update
Our new hardwood and flooring warehouse in Portishead is conveniently located just off the M5 and is more than double the size of our previous location, meaning we can hold a greater range and quantity of stock.
We are soon to be opening an associated showroom and meeting area where we look forward to hosting visitors and customers. Architects, contractors and merchants looking for flooring products can explore the ranges available, view samples and discuss their project requirements with the team.

Fun-Fact!
The world's largest tree is a giant Sequoia known as 'General Sherman', located in the Sequoia National Park in California.
The tree is more than 270 feet tall and 100 feet wide at its trunk. Amazingly, the General is thought to be between the ages of 2,100 and 2,700 years old!
