Supply Chain Sustainability School Gold Members
We are delighted to announce that as part of our continued drive to minimise our environmental impact and reach carbon net zero in our own operations by 2030, we have now achieved a Gold level membership within the Supply Chain Sustainability School (SCSS) - a goal that was set out across our Group as part of our environmental, social and governance (ESG) strategy ‘Together for the Future’.
The SCSS is an award-winning, industry-wide collaboration to support everyone in the supply chain to work together for a sustainable future in the built environment. It offers free learning resources to members in areas such as sustainability, procurement, inclusion, respect and people, covering a wide-range of topics from waste management to inclusion and wellbeing.
Gold level membership is awarded to members who continually engage with learning and events and can evidence business change and collaboration with others in the supply chain. As a distributor within the construction industry, an industry which is a major contributor to global carbon emissions, we understand the importance of working together with our supply chain partners to drive positive change. Engaging with the learning available through the school has increased the knowledge of our teams and ultimately their confidence in working with valued suppliers and customers on key issues.
You can read our Gold member case study here.
We understand the importance of education and training in enabling us to achieve our sustainability goals. The School allows us to monitor the progress of our training and understand areas where we are ahead of the curve, as well as areas where we need to improve, enabling us to focus our actions for the year ahead.
