Inspiring local students

The Witham office have recently donated a number of old brick samples from their showroom to a local Eastern Region Training centre. As a result of the donation, the facility has been able to create brick training areas for their students where they will learn to perfect their pointing skills and learn about different types of brick bond patterns.

Eastern Region Training offers both a BTEC Level 1 in brickwork and a Level 2 Award in Construction. Courses are delivered from their specialist training facility, located just outside of Ipswich. They have groups of learners from high schools in Suffolk, as well as individuals aged 16-19 who are not currently in education.

We are delighted that the brick samples that would have otherwise been thrown away, have been recycled and put to a fantastic use by assisting in the training of young adults looking to gain new skills to help them build a successful career.
