Product Overview

Requiring minimal effort and cost, softwood decking can be self-installed as a DIY project or professionally fitted. Softwood decking is preservative treated to prolong the natural life-span of the timber and is produced with a range of finished appearance or ‘profiles’, which are then usually installed on a timber joist sub-frame. Taylor Maxwell hold stock of a range of sizes and profiles in the UK for prompt delivery to the Timber and Builders Merchant sectors in full or part loads. We can also deliver decking combined with other landscaping timber products or construction timber.

Anti-Slip Decking

We work closely with a partner company who apply the anti-slip finish to our standard decking stock, providing a perfect match with our regular decking profile. For a quick delivery, we offer a standard colour anti-slip finish and profile. Other sizes and colours are available for your requirements.

This product can be supplied in single pack quantities. Fully tested and approved in accordance with BS7976:2002, our anti-slip has been officially recognised as being highly anti-slip in both dry and wet conditions with a typical minimum PTV of 71 when wet.

The timber can additionally be preservative treated in accordance with BS8417:2011, using class 3 and 4, to give it an expected service life of 15 years for timber pine decking. For added piece of mind, our preservative treatment process is one of the first in the UK to be awarded the coveted ‘benchmark’ approval under the Wood Protection Associations quality assurance scheme.
