We supply both imported and homegrown CLS to the merchant and manufacturing sectors of the UK timber industry. Our long-standing partnerships with our sawmills ensure a stock of high-quality CLS, which we can supply in both full and part loads to meet all your CLS requirements.
Product overview
“Canadian Lumber Standard” or CLS is kiln dried and ‘regularised’ timber finished on all sides giving a smaller cross-section than traditional sawn timber. Originating in the Canadian market, hence the name, it is mainly used for timber frame home construction and for internal and partition walls.

Applications
CLS can be used for timber frame construction and internal walls. It is popular due to its high strength and durability, while its planed edges make it easy and safe to handle. It provides a cost-effective option against other types of construction timber with a great range of sizes available to suit any application.

Treatment
High pressure and low pressure treatment offered to protect against decay and insect attack.
We supply direct to your yard or hold stock at our Cumbernauld site. We can do CLS in full or part loads with our other timber products.
We import from Sweden and Germany as well as stock homegrown products from our partnered Irish sawmills.
This product is FSC® and PEFC certified depending on the country of origin.

Through a combination of our sales and customer service offices, stock locations and key manufacturing partners, we are able to work with merchant and manufacturing customers across the UK.
Our supply is heavily focused from the UK, Sweden, The Baltics and the rest of the EU, however, we also import specialist products from North America and China.
