Overview

As a Sales Trainee with Taylor Maxwell Timber, you will learn the sales process end-to-end, build relationships and shadow our experienced team. You will have the opportunity to attend customer sites alongside our Sales Team.

This position is full time, permanent (37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday).

Roles and responsibilities

  • Ensure that the sample room/showroom is tidy, organised, ‘up to date’ and stocked
  • Develop and lead the city centre showroom visits and visitors
  • Respond promptly to tender enquires in conjunction with relevant salesperson
  • Prepare and send out quotes to customers as requested to agreed deadlines
  • Order and deliver samples as and when required
  • Source information for the external team
  • Provide updated information for the website, monitoring specific projects for ‘case study’ status
  • Be proactive in organising databases for mailshots and supporting company marketing activities

Essential

  • Driving license is required
  • Good ability in Microsoft packages
  • Confident and determined approach
  • Ability to adapt your communication style
  • Possess a target driven mindset
  • High degree of self-motivation

Desirable

  • Experience within a customer facing role
  • Previous sales experience
  • Construction industry knowledge
