Lynwood House is a recently completed £6 million state-of-the-art development situated within a conservation area of Lanchester, Durham.
The scheme provides 34 new independent living apartments for over-55s with a medical centre and a community facility.
The architects faced the tough challenge of finding the perfect façade for the modern building which would complement its rural surroundings. They invited Taylor Maxwell (TM) to provide the innovative Stonepanel™ cladding system that served to create a stunning and practical finish for the two-storey building.
The cladding offered a cost-effective alternative to traditional stone that was also quicker and easier to install. The finished result has delighted both those who live in and use the building, and has also won over local residents who were initially concerned about building work taking place.
